This contemporary opera was a challenge of its own: in a story set between opera, thriller and political coup, an investigator goes on a mission and finds a world of intelligent lightnings and their influence on humanity. A money player climbs on his money and from up there doesn´t see the government any more. The armed woman protects him, a Dr. Interelektro works for him and has made it possible for computers to read how lightnings speak - and above all the eagle is circling.
Dietmar Daths' fantastic libretto is a condensate of iconic figures, concentrating on an Angst of german and european society. To enhance the perception of this sciene- fictionesque story, I have created a very concrete, historically charged space that resonates german history. Inspired by the courtroom of the Nuremberg Trials, it can also be read as an office, a museum hall, or a university. Gradually the order collapses, becomes a laboratory and finally a ruin. Felix Leuschner's music theatre presents a  congenial combination of large orchestra with electronic music and experimental voice techniques, allowing theatre and composition to merge. Together with the fantastic performers, the singers, dancers, an actress and the extras, we try not to give answers, but to ask questions, as does the libretto: what do you do with your money, and what does your money do with you?
