THE JOURNEY OF G. MASTORNA

For this very unusual project i had the opportunity to combine two stages together into one immersive scenography for 300 spectators. An original Fellini script that never made it to film, we as creative team had the rare chance to invent a magical world of our own- as the protagonist finds himself in a magical world of afterlife after a supposed emergency landing of his plane, that is actually a plane crash. The audience is carried off on an extravagant journey into this world beyond- together with the cellist Giuseppe Mastorna we are being confronted with a magically disturbing pandemonium of reminiscence, nightmare and reverie.
Going through a fundamental reckoning, searching for one authentic moment in his life, in the end, both lost and rescued, he steps out into the mist, into the void and out to nowhere.

Together with live music, live filming, incredible video design and marvelous actors, many extras and a dancer we re-discover this original Fellini script for the first time on stage- on both stages of the theatre.
