For Béla Bartók's sole but radical opera i created a set that is based on a round shape- a  gauzecurtain with mesmerizing videoprojections circles the stage 360°, while an audience  of 33 can experience the opera from nearby on semicircular hanging carousel chairs. A flying, semitransparent room creates an intriguing interior that from above appears and dissapears again. Described as a drama in the form of a mystery play we evoke intriguing images of love, mystery, frenzy and myth in this richly orchestrated symbolistic opera of the beginning of the 20th century.
